Respect on Scene: The Missing Protocol

There are protocols for everything:
Airway.
Trauma.
Transport.

But respect?
That’s assumed—not taught.

And that assumption is failing.

Respect on scene looks like:

  • Listening before acting
  • Acknowledging effort
  • Communicating clearly
  • Working as a unit

Without it:

  • Trust breaks
  • Cooperation drops
  • Outcomes suffer

Respect is not soft.
It’s structural.

And without it, the system cracks under pressure.
